The London Design FestivalSilver Speaks at the London Design Festival

Join five prestigious members of Contemporary British Silversmiths and exhibitors from Silver Speaks: ‘Form’ in conversation on the importance of tools and materials to their practice, led by Silver Speaks: ‘Form’ exhibition designer, photographer and tool enthusiast, Anne Kernan and silversmith Brett Payne. Come and find out more how makers develop their distinctive style through their personal relationship to their tools and materials. Questions are welcome from the audience.

This event complements the Silver Speaks: ‘Idea to Object’ exhibition at the V&A, and Silver Speaks: ‘Form’ exhibition at the Goldsmiths’ Centre and is part of the London Design Festival programme. A catalogue for each exhibition is available to purchase in the V&A shops, at the Goldsmiths’ Centre or online.

The London Design Festival is an annual event, held to celebrate and promote London as the design capital of the world and as the gateway to the international creative community. The dates for this year’s Festival are 17-25 September 2016. Silver Speaks, an exciting programme of events organised by Contemporary British Silversmiths, the leading association for design-based contemporary silver.
