Centric Representation (left), Parametric Representation (x+y) (right)

Peter Musson used mathematics in this series of work to explore a true answer to aesthetics. The single curve is made and then arrayed around a single origin point. Peter wanted the piece to have a feeling of volume, to break away from the single construct. These layered constructed forms were made by welding, soldering and electroforming.

Peter Musson creates sophisticated silverware by smoothly combining the freedom of making by hand with controlled computer techniques. He embraces the unique decorative finish of both methods and display evidence of this process. The result is silver pieces that are as honest as they are elegant.
