Lasse Baehring MGH DS – The Danish Silversmiths

DS_LogoBlackOnWhite
Lasse Baehring trained as a silversmith at the Georg Jensen workshops in Copenhagen. He was employed there for a total of 10 years, only interrupted by attending a two year Masters at the Goldsmith High School. Since 1993, he has been self-employed, mainly designing and crafting his own artistic silversmithing for exhibitions and fairs all over Europe and USA.

These activities have accumulated into more than 100 exhibitions and competitions spanning more than 25 years. He has been rewarded with a wealth of awards and honourable mentions that include being guest artist at the Royal College of Art and a commissioned set of beakers for the V&A Museum collection. He was also organiser of the Hammerclub 2010 in Copenhagen and board member of the Copenhagen Goldsmith Guild of 1429 and The
National Silver Council for a decade. He has been serving Chairman of Danish Silversmiths since 2004.
