The Silver Speaks catalogue

A beautiful newspaper style journal to complement the Silver Speaks programme

As part of Contemporary British Silversmiths’ objectives to show how silver can enhance contemporary life, we have produced a catalogue with a different look and feel to our usual brochures. Created by Karin Paynter and Angela Cork and designed by award winning graphic designers and branding consultants, NEON, the journal continues the ‘Silver Speaks’ dialogue with a newspaper format and attempts to widen perceptions of what the silversmith and members of Contemporary British Silversmiths are able to do, along with their ability to use their extensive skill set and influence across many other design disciplines.

Articles include ‘The Beauty of Silver’ by Dr Frances Parton – V&A, Corinne Julius, Curator and Design Critic, Jeffrey Lassaline, Curator and Secretary to the Trustees of the Silver Trust and Eric Turner, Curator at the V&A with a quote from the Rt Hon David Cameron.

The catalogue has been featured in Design Week already and is available online and also on sale in the V&A shop throughout the duration of the exhibition.
