Visitors to the V&A’s Silver Galleries had the opportunity to find out how a sheet of silver becomes a finished piece, and watch one of Britain’s leading silversmiths and Chair of Contemporary British Silversmiths, Rauni Higson, work on a piece of silver.

Rauni was on hand to tell visitors about the tools and processes used to create beautiful objects in silver, answering any questions about education, processes or Contemporary British Silversmiths.

Attendees also had the opportunity to view Silver Speaks: ‘Idea to Object’, a brand new display, celebrating silver in contemporary life and see the latest commission by the Silver Trust for the exclusive use by 10 Downing Street.
